The CHIE Incense Collection by Nippon Kodo approaches fragrance with a simple focus on natural materials. Made from aromatic woods, resins, and botanicals sourced from around the world, the collection contains no synthetic fragrances, oils, or dyes. Instead, each incense is shaped by the natural character of its ingredients.

This assortment brings together nine fragrances: Agarwood, Sandalwood, Hinoki, Palo Santo, Frankincense, Hiba, and Benzoin, along with Meditation and Purification, two fragrances composed from complementary ingredients. The collection offers an approachable way to experience how natural fragrance can shape the atmosphere and character of a space.

Each box contains 30 sticks and a small ceramic holder. With no bamboo core and no attempt to standardize burning time, each incense burns according to its own composition, ranging from approximately 45 to 70 minutes.

Direct and understated, CHIE is designed for everyday use. The assortment offers a range of natural fragrances to experience at home, with no synthetic additives.

Nippon Kodo's origin dates back over 400 years and they're known as the original incense makers for the Emperor of Japan.

Be sure to burn only on a heat-safe surface and do not leave unattended. Ash may fall on the surface while it burns and can stain or discolor surfaces. Do not soak incense in water. Keep out of reach from children and pets.

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund - minus a 20% restocking fee. Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
